Once part of the historic farmland of Leirubakki, the land became an independent \nproperty by the river Ytri Rang\u00e1 in 2020.<\/p><p>Rang\u00e1rsl\u00e9tta is distinguished by its striking natural beauty and sweeping mountain views. Set along the banks of the river Ytri Rang\u00e1, the landscape is lush and vibrant, with native birch \nwoodland and soft moss interwoven with ancient lava fields formed by flows from \nVatnaj\u00f6kull over 10,000 years ago. \nUnlike most summer-house or luxury-home developments in the Icelandic countryside, \nRang\u00e1rsl\u00e9tta is intentionally low-density: only 12\u201314 houses will be built across the entire 50-\nhectare estate. Each residence therefore enjoys an expansive private parcel of land, generous \nspace, and uninterrupted tranquility.<\/p><p>From every lot, breathtaking panoramic views unfold across the surrounding highlands and \nriver valley. Gu\u00f0mundsson together with \ntheir spouses.<\/p><p>The name Heklus\u00fdn refers to the mountain Hekla, i.e. Heklus\u00fdn means: A view \nto Hekla as the mountain can be seen from all lots.<\/p><p>The company's vision is to create beautiful, high-quality year-round homes\u2014carefully designed to blend with the unique landscape of the Rang\u00e1r Plains.<\/p><p>Each house is designed by Studio Halla Fri\u00f0geirs, according to the strictest standards for appearance and quality. Bright and open spaces, spacious common areas, and ceilings that frame the view and natural light. Special emphasis is placed on ensuring each house blends into its natural surroundings with minimal disturbance to existing lava formations, moss, and native vegetation.<\/p><p>Heklus\u00fdn homes are spacious and family-oriented, typically offering three to six bedrooms, \ntwo to three bathrooms, a dedicated laundry room, and a striking open-plan living area. All \nhomes feature a partially covered sun deck, extending outdoor living and usability in Iceland\u2019s \nvariable climate.<\/p><p>The houses are delivered fully finished on the outside, with parking lots, a landscaped lot, and exterior lighting, but are ready for interior finishing. The down payment is then made.<br \/><br \/><\/li><li>The remaining purchase price is paid in installments in accordance with the progress of the work.<br \/><br \/><\/li><li>The property is formally handed over and a deed is issued upon completion of the house, in accordance with the purchase agreement.<br \/><br \/><\/li><li>It is most common for buyers to want us to complete the houses, as we are in the best position to do so.
